Our Resources & Outreach

At The Second Life Changes, our ministry resources are not just information or materials—they are opportunities to live out the love described in 1 Corinthians 13 in practical, tangible ways. One of the key ways we do this is by participating in and supporting charitable outreach throughout Northern Rhode Island and Eastern Massachusetts, especially for those who are struggling with food insecurity, isolation, or homelessness.

Soup Kitchens &
Meal Ministries

A primary focus of our charitable work is serving in local soup kitchens and community meal programs. We partner with existing ministries and churches to help prepare, serve, and clean up meals for individuals and families in need. These times are about more than food; they are about offering kindness, dignity, and a listening ear to people who may feel overlooked. Whenever possible, we also help connect guests with additional resources, local churches, and support services.

Community Care &
Practical Help

Beyond soup kitchens, The Second Life Changes participates in community care efforts as we are able—such as food pantry support, clothing drives, seasonal outreach (e.g., holiday meals, winter gear), and visiting those who are shut in or in crisis. Our heart is to be present where God’s love is needed most, offering both spiritual encouragement and practical help.

Partnering With
Local Ministries

We believe in the strength of the wider Body of Christ, so we partner with local churches and ministries already serving vulnerable populations. When appropriate, we provide volunteer support, prayer, and encouragement for these frontline efforts. Our aim is not to duplicate what others are doing well, but to come alongside and strengthen existing works of compassion.

How You Can Get Involved

If you feel called to serve, we welcome individuals and groups who would like to volunteer alongside us in soup kitchens, community meals, or other charitable outreaches. We can help connect you with opportunities that match your time and abilities and provide spiritual support as you step into serving others in Christ’s name.

Living Out Love in Action

All of these charitable efforts flow from our conviction that love must be more than words. The love described in 1 Corinthians 13 is patient, kind, and active—it “does not seek its own” and it “never fails.” Our resources and outreach are simply ways to put that love into action in our communities so that those we serve can encounter not just our help but the heart of Jesus behind it.
